Yesterday's list:
1. Go to Home Depot and get more shelves for the storage room.
2. Organize the storage room.
3. Unpack the remaining boxes that are sitting in the garage taking up much needed space.
4. Have dinner with The BFF and all those snot nosed kids. (yea!)
5. Make cupcakes for my mother in law (she requested!)
6. Hang some damn pictures on the wall.
7. Color my hair.
8. Grocery shop for the MIL so when she gets here on Tuesday she has coffee and food in her new house.
9. Finish Water For Elephants.
10. Obsessively call my husband.
So, that's two things done. Eight more to go. But I forgot some things so now an amended list:
1. Organize the storage room.
2. Unpack the remaining boxes that are sitting in the garage taking up much needed space.
3. Have dinner with The BFF and all those snot nosed kids. (yea!)
4. Make cupcakes for my mother in law (she requested!)
5. Hang some damn pictures on the wall.
6. Color my hair.
7. Grocery shop for the MIL so when she gets here on Tuesday she has coffee and food in her new house.
8. Obsessively call my husband.
9. Laundry
10. House cleaning (vacuum, dust, toilet cleaning, litter box maintenance, etc.)
11. Pick up dry cleaning.
12. Organize bedroom closet.
13. Drop Goodwill items off.
14. Work out. For REAL. No more half-ass-ed 12 min. sessions on the elliptical machine.
15. Grocery shopping.
I love making lists! It doesn't always work at keeping me motivated but I enjoy so much the crossing off sensation that sometimes while making a list I will include things that are already completed just so I can cross them off and feel a sense of accomplishment.
I so want to get most of the things on this list done before my husband comes back from Florida. I really, really, want to impress him for some reason. I think because some of the things on that list have been on a mental list I keep repeating out loud and saying I'm going to do but never get around to doing because I am lazy or tired or just started my period or any other myriad of excuses. And frankly, I'm tired of saying I'm going to do things and not actually doing them. It annoys me when other people do that and it annoys me to the millionth power when I do it. I think I will add to the list: STOP ANNOYING YOURSELF AND GET TO WORK.
